Forrest Preston Mitchell 1917–1972
Forrest's father Willis farmed and worked as a farm laborer in Monroe County Indiana. When Forrest was eleven his mother died of stomach cancer. When Forrest was still a teenager he followed his older brother, Cresson, to King County, Washington in order to find work.
Forrest rented a room from the McCloskey family and met and married their daughter Lavera Pearl, on 16 Oct 1937. Forrest was 22 and Lavera was 17. Together they had two daughters:

Forrest worked as a general laborer on various projects. In 1960 his occupation is listed as warehouseman.
Forrest died in 1972 of a heart attack. He was 55.
