Raymond C. Hermes, age 86, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2007, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott city, Kansas. He was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Goddard, Kansas, the son of John N. and Mary A. Hilger Hermes. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas, he was the owner and operator of Hermes jewelry for 30 years before retiring.
Memberships include St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Scott City, Kansa Knights of Columbus, scott city, Kansas and past chamber of Commerce Scott city, Kansas.
On February 14, 1956, he married Agnes Marie Daugherty in Scott City, Kansas. She passed away on June 27, 1993, in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include: Six brothers, Eugene Hemes, White fish, Montana, Clarence Hermes, Colorado Springs, Colo. Jerome hemes, Seneca Kansas, Bishop Herbert Hermes, OSB, Cristalandia, Brazil and Norbert Hermes, Salina, two sisters, and Lucilla Herman, Broken Arrow, Okla., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three siters – Mildred Brunner, Victoria Urban and Rita Hermes.
