~ MOUNT VERNON NEWS ~ Wednesday, 13 November, 1935 - Mrs. Mary Steinmetz, 85, died today at 8:45 a.m. at her home, 235 Newark road, after an illness of seven weeks of complications resulting from a fractured hip. She is survived by six children, Mrs. W. M. Vernon, Mrs. J.W. Longfellow, Howard and C.A. Steinmetz of Mt. Vernon, and B.S. Steinmetz of Logansport, Ind., and by 31 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the home, conducted by the Rev. A.B. Denton, and burial will be in the Hopewell cemetery. Retyped TJD2013
