Henriette Campan Genet was born May 19, 1815 in Rensselaer County, New York to Edmond Charles and his second wife Martha Brandon Osgood Genet. She died on Jun. 17, 1826 in Rensselaer County at the age of 11.

From Pat Perrella of FL:

"Martha Brandon Osgood Genet and Edmond Charles Genet had five children but only the last two sons survived to adulthood.

#1 daughter - Henriette Campan Genet (named for Genet's sister Madame Campan) b. 19 May 1815 d. 17 June 1826 buried in the Genet plot East Greenbush cemetery

#2 son - Edmond Charles Genet b. 12 November 1816 and is listed as being christened in the EG Reformed Church on 6 October 1818 but I cannot find any record of his death or where he is buried ~ it's possible he died in NYC and might be buried with Osgood relatives

#3 son - Samuel Osgood Genet(named for Martha's father) b. 20 May 1819; d. 16 October 1824 buried in the Genet plot East Greenbush cemetery

#4 son - Edme Jacques Genet (named for Genet's father) b. 23 November 1821; d. 24 March 1891 buried in the Genet plot East Greenbush cemetery) he married Magdelene Van Rensselaer Witbeck (1813-1900) but they had no children. She died is buried in the Van Rensselaer cemetery with her sister Gertrude E. Witbeck Manley

#5 son - George Clinton Genet - this birth date is tricky as his stone and any records I've found refer to 1824 but I can't determine the month. I've read some places it's October but there is a letter sent to Genet from his son Henry James congratulating him on the birth of the new little Republican in July 1824. I can't figure what other child this could be other than George Clinton? He married Augusta Georgia Kirtland but they had no children.

Following Genet's death, Martha wrote to his niece in France and mentioned the loss of 3 children but she had Genet to comfort her but now he was gone and her two "little boys" were away at school so she was all alone. That's how I figured Edmond Charles also died but I haven't been able to find a record of this."
