She was a teacher in Christian Education, a teacher of Arts and Crafts to psychiatric patients and volunteers, a Board Member and Vice-President of a large Community Chorus, a Director of Children's Activities at her church, an Assistant Sunday School Teacher at another of her churches, and a member of the Church Choir at both of those churches.
She was a Travel Consultant for 23 years beginning in 1976 and visited over 75 countries in that career. She became a Certified Travel Consultant in 1985. She worked in Illinois, Texas, and Louisiana, before retiring in 1999.
