Evelyn Bernice Anderson, 94, of Springville, died at 10 p.m. on Monday at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 19, 1917, in Switz City, Indiana, she was the daughter of Henry Roscoe and Bessie Mae (Hillenburg) Parker. She married Harold Richard Anderson on Dec. 26, 1936, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1978.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith and her hobbies were gardening, her family, and being outdoors.
She attended Springville School.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kerr of Ellettsville; one son, Claude L. Anderson and wife Carol of Bedford; three grandsons, Joe Kerr and wife Julie, Troy Anderson and wife Lisa, both of Ellettsville, and John Anderson and wife Charlene of Avoca; four granddaughters, Donna Morrow and husband Eugene of Oolitic, Lori Kelly and husband Gavin of Nashville, Tenn., and Evie Miller and husband Joe and Gina Davis and husband Merle D., both of Bedford; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Gerald Kerr; one son, Harold Richard, Jr. at birth; five brothers, Leston, David, Junior, Oval and Evett Parker; and five sisters, Beulah Parker, Mary Ann Rodman, Mildred Lee, Geneva Watford and Inez Rodman.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Christian Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.
