Belvidere, March 29. - Mrs. W. A. Ralston, 83, mother of Supervisor H. Carlyle Ralston of Caledonia township, died at 12:50 p. m. today at her home, two miles north of Willow Creek Presbyterian church near Argyle.
The former Janet Ralston, daughter of Alexander and Mary Ralston, was born Jan. 18, 1860 in Harlem township, Winnebago county, and had spent her entire life in that vicinity.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Gertrude Ralston, at home, and Mrs. Lorena E. Pollard, Detroit, Mich.; two brothers [sons], Arthur and Carlyle, both at home; and four sisters, Mrs. Jose Barnes of Roscoe, Mrs. Albert Friffis of Beloit, Wis., Mrs. B. S. Potter of Mason City, Ia., and Mrs. Charles Thornton of El Paso, Tex.
Her husband died in 1910; a daighter, Helen Marie, in 1929, and a sister, Mrs. Albert Barnes of Monroe, Wis., in October, 1942.
Funeral arrangements are being made at the Atkins-Johnson funeral home here.
