Mr. Babcock was born March 10, 1880 in Painesville, a son of the late Charles W. and Emma Collister Babcock, and had been a resident here nearly all his life.
He retired at the age of 65 from the F. P. & E. Railroad, previously working on the New York Central line.
His first wife, Jessie G. Young Babcock, preceded him in death in 1942. He married Mrs. Minnette Janet Hausch, August 8, 1943 in Painesville.
He was a member of First Church, Congregational; the Hartsgrove Lodge No. 397 F&AM, of Hartsgrove, and the FOE No. 2633 in N. Baltimore, Ohio.
