BETTY JEAN STACKHOUSE
---Succumbed to cancer on June 7, 2003. She was born Betty Jean Self in Green Castle, Missouri on May 5, 1932. The 5th child of 8 and the only girl, she grew up in La Plata, Missouri and graduated from La Plata High School in 1951.
---She married Norris Stackhouse in 1953 and moved to Fontana, California. She worked at Kaiser Steel in the tin mill as a young mother, then moved back to La Plata. Betty and Norris returned to Fontana in 1971, where she has been a resident ever since. Betty worked for the Fontana Unified School District as a cafeteria worker.
---She is survived by two daughters, Norresa DeRenard of Fontana, California and Lori Maynard of Colton, California; two sons, Joe Stackhouse of Colton, California; three grandsons, Michael, Richard and Holden; four granddaughters, Shari, Amanda, Josephine and Jessica; sons-in-law, Ron DeRenard of Fontana, California and Clint Maynard of Colton, California; and three brothers, Hugh Self of Craig, Colorado, Glenn Self of Claycomo, Missouri and Gary Self of Sturgeon, Missouri, and their wives, Elaine, Mildred and Anita, respectively; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends throughout the states.
---She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Stackhouse, and four brothers, Leslie Self, Bill Self, Lloyd Self and James (Judd) Self.
---Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 11, 2003) at the Ingold Chapel, Fontana, California.
---Graveside services will be held at 1:45 p.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery on Thursday (June 12, 2003) at Staging Area #1.
