Mrs. Hencle was a native of the town of Van Buren. She was a 1924 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy and a 1928 graduate of Cornell University. Mrs. Hencle taught home economics schools in Canastota; Panama, N.Y.; Fabius; Jordan; and Port Byron. She her husband, Maynard, operated the Hencle Berry Patch at their home.
Mrs. Hencle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville, the Baldwinsville Rug Hookers, the Female Charitable Society, the Travelers Club and the Armchair Travelers.
