The daughter of Henry Greamba and Lucinda Gilman, Fannie was a school teacher in Calhoun County, Illinois. She married James F. Tribble on 21 Apr 1881 in Calhoun County, Illinois.

James also a school teacher, and they were the parents of 4 children. During the early years of their marriage, they moved to Lebanon, Illinois so that James could study law at McKendree College.

The Tribbles moved to Columbus, Kansas after James graduated from McKendree, but returned to Calhoun County by 1884. James went back to teaching and eventually became the principal of the Batchtown public schools.

At the time of her death at her home, Fannie was 41-years-old. She was survived by her husband, James; 1 daughter, Maud; 2 sons, Herbert and Joe; her mother, Lucinda; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.

Fannie was preceded in death by her father, Henry Greamba; and 1 daughter, Edith, who died in infancy.

Visitation was held at the Tribble family home. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church.

James remarried in 1902. He passed away in 1940.

Children: 2 sons, 2 daughters.

Lucinda Gilman Greamba Lippencott

Obituary: Lucinda was a daughter of James and Emma Gilman and was [born] in the lower end of Calhoun, this County, on the 29th of Nov. 1829 and fell asleep at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Cresswell of Alton, Ill. Oct. 12, 1908 at the ripe old age of 78 years, 10 months and 13 days. Nearly all her life was spent in Calhoun where she was loved and respected by her neighbors and friends.

She married Henry [G]reamba in this county and to them were born nine children of whom only the following are living: Mrs. J. L. Cresswell of Alton, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Groves of Okla.; Mrs. Ruby Carrico of Twin Falls, Idaho; George B. Greamba of Washington.

Her husband preceded her to the grave and she remained a widow for several years when she married D. E. Lippencott. He died in 1881, March 20th. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Groves in Okla. for about five years returning here Sept. 19th. She lived with Mrs. Cresswell where the messenger of death found her. She was buried in the old Squier's Cemetery.
