He enlisted in the Civil War 07-02-1864 and while fighting with the 37th Battalion of the Virginia Calvary, CSA, near Winchester, Virginia, he was wounded. In 1865 he was wounded a second time.
He died in White Plains at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and 13 days.
