Birchel Fields age 96 of Scaffold Cane in Berea, passed away Saturday April 12, 2014 at Berea Health Care Center.
Birchel was born in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Slaney and Stella Caudill Fields. He was a self-employed saw mill worker and a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Chapel Pratt Fields, five children, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his six children Trudy (George) Cates, Rita (Boyd) Adams, Earl (Janette) Fields, JoEtta (George) Goodrich, Glenis (Brenda) Fields and Ray (Kim) Fields and one brother Riley Fields. 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren also survive him.
Larry Phillips, Larry Goodrich, Orville Lamb, Eddie Todd, Roy Gene Todd and Ray Phillips. Honorary bearer will be Clifton "Sparky" Sparks.
