Sue was the daughter of John Wesley Sartin and Katie Pierce Smith Sartin. She passed away at the Atoka Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 29 days. She attended schools in Atoka and graduated from the Atoka High School, Sue then attended Southeastern Oklahoma State Teachers College and graduated with a teachers degree. Sue married Harmon T. Jones on December 28, 1943 in Atoka County, OK. Harmon preceded her in death in 1976. Sue later married A.D. "Buddy" Haraway in November of 1978 at Texarkana, TX. Sue was an elementary school teacher in Atoka County and at Mamie Johnson in Atoka for many years then began at Atoka's Thunderbird Elementary School when it opened and taught there until her retirement in 1974, after 30 years of teaching. She began Sue Jones Realty in Atoka County in 1975 and operated it until her death, about 35 years. She was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harmon Jones; son in law, Dr. Don Rippee and brother and sister in law, Henry and Esther Sartin. Services will be Monday, June 21, 2010 at 2 pm at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka. Interment will be at Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka. The Rev. John Howard will officiate.
