Mrs. Walter G. Edwards

Mrs. Lelia Adams Edwards, 84, of Gwynn, died Friday, October 11, 1968 in a Newport News hospital after a short illness.

She was a member of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Walter G. Edwards; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Jenkins of Grimstead and Mrs. Logan Gay of Gwynn; a sister, Mrs. Annie Matthews of Gwynn; a brother, Leslie Adams of Gwynn; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, conducted by the Rev. William H. Lester, pator of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church.

Burail was in Gwynn's Island Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Stewart Edwards, Elvin Adams, Rodney Adams, Vernon Moody, Donald Adams and Wayne Rainier.
