Funeral services for Mrs. Vilena Forest Austin, 76, who died here Sunday afternoon in Hillcrest Haven, were held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday from the First Methodist Church.

Officiating was the Rev. Don Youngblood, pastor, assisted by the Rev. E. H. Coburn, retired Methodist minister. Pallbearers were Fred Wooten, J. M. Morrison, Jim Gookin, Clyde Bryant, Bob Webb and Rex Adams. Burial was in Electra Memorial Park under direction of James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Austin was born December 4, 1887, in Sunset, Texas, and had resided in Electra since 1922. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Methodist W. M. S.

Her husband, W. M. Austin, is a retired retail dry goods merchant in Electra.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Dale J. Austin of Dallas and Russell D. Austin of Andrews; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Griffin of Albany, Oregon, Mrs. Billie Joy Owens of Iowa Park and Mrs. Marie Haralson of Big Spring; four sisters, Mrs. Lois Johnson of Tipton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Leda Brown of Tipton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Stella Kleinsteiber of Victory, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Vera Ellis of California; 17 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren._
