The grim messenger Death has claimed another old and respected resident of Au Sable Forks in the person of Albert DOUGLASS as its victim. Mr. DOUGLASS died at the Champlain Valley hospital, Plattsburg, on Friday of last week, at the age of 79 years. He had been in failing health for some time and his death was not wholly unexpected. His funeral was held from St. James Episcopal church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the esteem and respect in which he was held by the people of this village was shown in the large number present at the last solemn service conducted by Rev. Percival G. Rollit, rector of the church. The interment was in Fairview cemetery. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles RHINO and Mrs. Margaret LARAMY, and four sons, Benjamin, Earl, Nathaniel and Charles.
