Funeral services were Friday, June 25, at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. The Rev. Juanita Harberts officiated. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Geraldine Christopherson was born on Aug. 6, 1921, to Walter and Alice (Brown) Christopherson in Vermillion S.D. She graduated from Vermillion High School.
On Aug. 8, 1939, she married Harold Adamson in Vermillion. After their marriage they moved to Centerville, S.D., and farmed there for 22 years. While her husband served in World War II, she worked as a riveter, building airplanes in Chicago for a short time. In 1967 the couple moved to Luverne where she worked at Arnie's Grocery Store, J.C. Penney, Hytek Water Softener and later for Southwestern Opportunity Council as an outreach worker.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. She was also a member of RSVP, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Luverne Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Adamson is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Scott) Barnes, Luverne; two grandchildren, Adam and David Smedsrud; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Damian and Wesley Smedsrud; four sisters, Joyce Ashmore, Elk Point, S.D., Bonnie Hustrulid, Beresford, S.D., and Betty Hansen and Lela (Deryl) Kruse, all of Vermillion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Adamson, and a sister.
Dingmann Funeral Home of Luverne was in charge of arrangements.
