As James Gallow was driving down a hill near Newfield some of the harness gave way and the horses ran as the wagon came upon their heels. Mr. Gallow and his daughter Ada, aged sixteen, were thrown out. She was so injured that she died the next day. He was badly hurt, being kicked by one of the horses as he fell forward.
