Sarah Patterson and James McChesney "married about 1752 in Northern Ireland." They are believed to have both been first cousins, born in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Sadly, their parents names are unknown. It is believed she was born in ABOUT 1733. James and several of his siblings plus his wife and about 4 children came to the colonies, settling in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
They had known McChesney children:
Samuel, 22 Jun 1753 (Susanna Berry), below
James, Jr. (died before Mar 1813), below
Hugh (? & Sallie Kimpston)
Robert, 14 Nov 1768 in County Armagh, (Eliz. Johnston) below
Adam, died 1812, below

Betsy Anna, abt 1779 (mar 31 Aug 1799, Robert Hunter "1772-1832")
Leander James McCormick's Family Record and Biography, Chicago, 1896, p 363 lists his children as Samuel, Hugh (B Co. Monaghan, 2 wives), Adam (D 1812 in Augusta Co.) James, George, Sally, Robert, Nancy, Betsy, Margaret, and Rebecca.
FB says she is in the Old Providence Church cemetery records. "I don't believe she has a marker. Her death date is unknown. The Old Presbyterian Cemetery records indicate birth was possibly in 1758, which would be impossible."

Daughter Isabella marry John Sharp, so she was AKA Ebby.

Per Lyman Chalkley's Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia Extracted from the Original Court Records of Augusta County; Vol. 2, page 333.
