Son of James Perry & Sarah (Villers) Michael. Married Amanda Veneman. Co. "C" 7th W.Va. Inf.
James & Amanda's son, Noah Lloyd, is found in a delayed birth certificate filed 1957 by his sister, Maggie Anderson, and stated he was born 4 June 1893 at Middlebourne.

Tyler County Journal, March 28, 1928:
"MICHAELS - James Michaels, son of James P. and Sarah Michaels, of Buck Run, of Tyler conty then Virginia where he was born in 1847 and was in the 81st year of his age at his death which occured Saturday night at the home of his daughter Mrs. Maggie Michaels Anderson in Sistersville, March 24th, 1928.
"He and Miss Amanda Venaman, daughter of Elias and Elizabeth Venaman were united in marriage by Rev. Philip A. Wood September 23rd, 1867, and ten children were born to this union, one daughter and two sons preceded him in death and the following children survive him. Mrs. Maggie Anderson, Mrs. Sarah Kinney, Mrs. Jennie Long, Mrs. Belle Stackhouse, Mrs. Florda, Martin, William E. Michaels and Loyd N. Michaels all of Tyler county W. Va. One brother Asa Michaels and one sister, Miss Maggre Michaels of Clarksburgh also survive him. His wife preceded him in death, July 28th, 1901.
"...Church of Middebourne Monday after noon March 26th 1928 at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. H. W. Harrison pastor of that Church. The interment was laid in Greenwood Cemetry of Middebourne in the family lot. The Ladies of G. A. R. Relief corp. had charge of the services after the Church services and the services at the grave were held by the American Legion who sounded taps and fired the parting shots."
