Magdalena, daughter of Abraham and Magdalena Snider, was born in Waterloo County, Ontario, Sept 21, 1856, died Nov 4, 1927, aged 71 years, 1 month 13 days. Her parents moved to Elkhart county when she was three years of age, at which place she grew to womanhood and resided until death. She was united in marriage to Aaron Reed, Sept 2, 1877. To this union were born 1 son and three daughters, the oldest daughter, Mrs Amanda Wenger, having preceded her in death by 15 years. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, and 3 children, Mrs David Martin, who resides at home, Mrs Ezra Stauffer of Harrison township, and Wilson S Reed of Brutus, Mich, also 22 grand children, a brother, Noah Snider, and 2 sister Matilda Lehman of Union township and Lydia Mussellman of Saskatchewan, Canada.

She with her husband united with the Old Order Mennonite church on May 18, 1889 and remained a faithful member to the end. She spent a little over 50 years in married life in the home in which she died. Funeral services were held Monday from the home at 9:30 followed by a service at the Old Order Mennonite church at 10:30, Rev William Raymer and Rev Noah Wenger officiating. Rev M G Horst of Ohio assisted. Burial in adjoining cemetery.
