Mrs. John A. Parks Dead

End Came At 4:30 Yesterday Evening.

Stroke of Paralysis Had Rendered Her Utterly Helpless for Three Days Prior to Her Death-Born in Stockholm, Sweden.

Mrs. John A. Parks died at 4:30 last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.I. Cowham, 505 South Second street, following a stroke of paralysis and arterial schlerosis. For several days prior to her death she was not capable of any sort of movement. She was utterly helpless. Mrs. Parks had been in failing health for a long time, but it was only recently that she was compelled to take to her bed. She was a woman of fine character and had a large circle of friends who deeply sympathize with the family in their bereavement.

Albertina Ryberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden, December 6, 1859. She was united in marriage to John Albert Parks, Nov. 13, 1879, at Wilcox, Pa. Five children were born to this union. Laura died in infancy, Mrs. Lillian Nachtrieb, another daughter, died Jan. 7, 1906. The surviving children are Mrs. Bessie Parmalee of Salamanca, New York, Mrs. Edna Smith of Cleveland, Okla., and Mrs. Myrtle Cowham of this city.

The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Cowham residence on South Second street, with Rev. Poe of the Presbyterian church officiating.
