ACKERMANN
Otto Ackermann, 68, 639 Walnut St., Irwin, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Nurnberg, Germany, May 18, 1896, the son of the late Christian and Ann Kom Koeniger Ackermann. Surviving are his wife, Magdalene Windhaus Ackermann and the following children: Hans D., Hazelton; Norbert L., Thailand; Richard E., San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Mechtild Grapes, Irwin; Mrs. Lindy Wuest, New York; 22 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Father Richard Ackermann, Emmy Ackerman, both of Bavaria; Max Ackermann, Munich. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, the Entomological Society in Pittsburgh, Botanical Society, Greensburg. He was the nature counselor for the Boy and Girl Scouts of Irwin and was a retired elcetrical engineer for Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. Friends are being received at Joseph F. Ott Funeral Home, 504 Oak St., Irwin, 2-5, 7-10 p.m. Requiem high Mass will be offered Saturday morning at 9 in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in Irwin Catholic Cemetery. CDA Court Irwin 1170 will meet tonight at 8 to recite the rosary.
