Dorothy W. Bartholme, 85, of Sheridan, passed away on June 25,2009 at Westview Health Care Center.Dorothy was born on June 29, 1923 in Willard, New Mexico toGeorge and Beulah Worley. She was Valedictorian of her seniorgraduating class of Central Baptist School in Clovis, NM. Afterhigh school she worked as a police dispatcher. On March 22, 1947,she wed John Bartholme in Clovis, NM, and were blessed with three daughers. Shortly after their marriage she and John moved to Steamboat Springs, CO, where Dorothy's "claim to fame" wasdriving an 18-wneeler over Rabbit Ears Pass. They eventuallymade their home in Commerce City, CO where they both workedfull time and raised their family. They were founders of theMetropolitan Troupers, a group of young people with an array oftalents that brought variety entertainment snows into hosRitals,nursing homes, military bases, missions and shelters, anaanywhere else their presence was requested, throughout the DenverMetro area. After John passed away on April 19, 1990, Dorothy eventually relocated to Douglas, WY, to be near family, and livedthere for eight years. In September 2008 she moved to WestviewHeaHh Care Center followmg her family's move to the Sheridanarea, where she resided until the time of her death. She enjoyedwatching pro-football, especially the Denver Broncos. Dorothy also enjoyed trips with her family to Blackhawk and Central City, CO toRlay the nIckel slot machines. She loved spending time with herJamily and enjoyed going shopping and out to lunch with herfamily and friends and playing cards and dominoes with them.DorothY..never met a stranger, and she will always be rememberedfor her kind heart, loving ways, cheerful disposition, and positiveoutlook.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twobrothers; and two sisters. She is survived by"her daughters, CarolynJ. Bartholme of VVY, Janice D. Sullivan of CO, and Lynda Green,and her husband, Jeff, of WY; her four grandchildren, KaraSullivan of UT, Christopher and Andrea Sullivan, both of CO, andCaleb Green of WY; her great-grandchild, Haylee L. Sullivan of CO;her sister, Lawanda Frakes, and her husband Charles, of Clovis,NM; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
