She was united in marriae to Oliver M. Lynn, September 29, 1881. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Olive Phelps, of Peoria. Mr. Lynn passed away on June 18, 1882. On October 9, 1888, she was united in marriage to John L. Smith. To this union one daughter, Lulu Rayl, of Peoria, was born.
Mrs. Smith spent her early life in Indiana and Nebraska, moving to Illinois with her family in March 1905, spending the remainder of her life in and near Abingdon. At an early age she confessed Christ as her Savior, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
For several years she has not been able to do all of the things she loved to do for her family and friends, but they will always remember her for her happy outlook on life and her generous spirit of helpfulness to others. During her many months of illness she was always patient.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sister and two brothers.
Those remaining to mourn her loss are two daughters, Mrs. Olive Phelps and Mrs. Lulu Rayl, and son-in-law, Earl Rayl of Peoria; two grandchildren, Lynn Phelps and Mrs. Anna Belle Wahl; two great grandchildren, Miss Shirly and Marilyn Phelps, all of Peoria.
There are two sisters, Mrs. A.S. Miller of Denver, Colo, and Mrs. Unie A. Ritchey of Abingdon, one brother James O. Williamson of Omaha, Neb. and a host of friends.
