Millie married A. Nelson Caddell (1812-1888). Some sources give his first name as Admiral, others as Aaron. One record states he was from Moore County, the son of Daniel and Emilia Caddell and grandson of James Banks Caddell.
Millie and Nelson had at least three children: William Iverson Caddell (1844-1929, m. Minerva Clementine Stegall), George Kindred Caddell (1845-1927, m. Sarah Ellen LeGette) and Susan Adeline Caddell (c.1848/9-?).
Both the sons served in the Confederate Army, in Co. K, "The Anson Independents," of the 43rd NC Regiment. Both were wounded; and both were captured and confined at Point Lookout, Maryland.
