Sophie had 12 children, one dying soon after birth. She was greatly loved by all that knew her and she cared for everyone. Sophie was known as "Mom" by everyone even her granddaughters friends called her "Mom" much to her joy. She once told her three grandaughters, who she lived with her that the day they started calling her grandmother she knew she was ready to die and she was never called grandmother until after her death.
