Blanchardville Blade- John McKillip, a resident of Yellowstone for many years, died at his home Sept. 3, 1910 after a lingering illness. The funeral was held from the Yellowstone Catholic church on Sept. 6. Mr. McKillip was born in County Antrim, Ireland, Aug. 25, 1828, and when quite young came to this country. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Hardyman, Dec. 3, 1869 and to this union eight children were born. Mrs. Lewis Gratz, Fayette, Daniel, Margaret and Isabella survive him. The deceased lived in Yellowstone for fifty eight years with the exception of two years spent mining in Colorado. In his death the family will lose a kind husband and loving father and the community in which he lived an exemplary citizen.
