Irene was born in Arkansas. On 2 Jun 1928, she married Henry Alonzo "Lonnie" Todd in Sevier Co., AR. However, they spent most of their adult lives in Eagletown, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma. There, they raised their family of:

Wilma Todd 1930 – 2010
Gwendolyn Louise Todd 1932 – 1932
Ima Lee "Booger Red" Todd 1933 – 2001
Lonnia Faye Todd 1940 – 1997
Melba Jean Todd 1942 – 2008
Ronnie De'Wayne Todd 1944 – 2009

In 1930 and 1932, they lost two of their babies. Lonnie preceded Irene in death by 20 years. All the children have now passed on and are connected below.

Funeral services for Irene "Big Mama" Todd, 82, Eagletown, were 2 p.m. Friday in the Eagletown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial was in Eagletown Cemetery under the direction of Nation Funeral Home.

Todd died March 7 in De Queen. She was born March 5, 1913 in Westline, Ark., but she lived most of her life in McCurtain County. A homemaker, she was a member of the Eagletown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Todd, Belton, Tex.; four daughters, Melba Roan, Eagletown, Ima Lee Wagnon, Broken Bow; Lonnia Bakeyille, De Queen; and Wilma Warford, Horatio, Ark.; a brother, Warland Hadley, Eagletown; two sisters, Hazel Johnson, San Bernardo, Calif. and Lavada Williams. Eagletown; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
