The service was held at First Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. Urban A. Schulze officiating. Burial was in the new IOOF Cemetery.
Born May 13, 1864 in Monroe County, Tenn. Mr. Clemmer was married Dec. 30, 1891 to Miss Minerva Lou DeFord, who died on August 28th. The couple came to Texas in 1898 and settled near Fairy. They move to Hamilton in 1904, where he had lived since.
Four children were born in to the Clemmers, all of whom survived him. They are three sons, Avery B. Clemmer, Hamilton, Ole H. Clemmer, Texarkana, and Edward Clemmer, Dallas, and one daughter, Mrs. L. C. Griffin, Dallas.
Surviving are also six grandchildren, two great-grand-children, a brother A. A. Clemmer, Hamilton and two sisters, Mrs. Annie mcAnelly, Hamilton, and Mrs Matilda Sewell, Edna.
