Helen V. Jaschob

Helen V. Jaschob, 81, of 307 North St. Kiel, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She is the former Helen Bancroft, born Nov. 14, 1917 in Chilton, daughter of the late Trubert and Ethel Town Bancroft. She was a graduate of Chilton High School. On Feb. 25, 1941 she married Athniel "Addie Jaschob in Chilton. The couple celebrated their 57 wedding anniversary. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1998. She was a longtime member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel and the Women's Guild and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Kiel. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, bird watching and baseball. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many friends.
Survivors include her children, Diane Kornetzke of Grafton, Gail (Rick) Hurd of Cedarburg, Sharon Jaschob of Waukesha and Glen (Dee Anna) Jaschob of Sheboygan Falls; six grandsons, one great grandson, and one great granddaughter; two brothers, Roy (Marge) Bancroft and Harold (Marlene) Bancroft; three sisters, Ruth (Norval) Hunt, Peg (Ellsworth) Schuette and Bernice Jost; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, neighbors and close friends.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ray Kornetzke, and a brother-in-law, Gerald Jost.
Funeral services were held at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial in Kiel cemetery.
