Johnny was the first of seven sons born to Martin Monroe Ragan and Elizabeth [Hackney] Ragan. His sibligs were: Harold, James, Junior, Daniel, Harry (my father), and Chester. Johnny was born with spina bifida and only lived a few days. Its possible he was buried on the property his grandparents (Thomas C. and Mary Jane [Waterberg] Ragan) homesteaded in 1897 near Onalaska Lewis County. There is no death certificate on file with the state of Washington or with Lewis County.
