Albert C Thompson 74, died at his home 2 miles east of Ontonagon on the Paul Bunyan Road. He apparently died in his sleep a day or two before.
Mr. Thompson was born Feb 27, 1881 at Sawyer, Wi. As a young man he worked on the Great Lakes carriers. He was married June 29 1910 at Ontonagon to Sarah Martha Lowe. Following his marriage he was employed as a woodsman and carpenter. Mrs. Thompson died June 1927 and one son Norman was killed in 1941 while serving in WW ll.
Mr. Thompson is survived by two sons Earl and Allen of Flint, two daughters, Mrs. Earl Best of Marquette and Mrs. Lawrence Ernest of Ontonagon, three brothers, & Mrs. Melvin of Chicago, Adolph of Sturgeon Bay, Wi and Oscar of Ontonagon; 3 sisters Mrs. Vincent Smith & Mrs. Joseph Middleton of Los Angeles and Mrs. Peter Anderson of Sturgeon Bay and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services at the Cane Funeral Home. Interment at Riverside Cemetery
