Edna Pierce, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Pierce was married to Mr. Paul Hursh, eldest son of Rev. and Mrs. A. E. Hursh, Newburg, at the home of her parents, Mount Vernon township. Only the immediate relatives were present. The ceremony was performed by the groom's father before a bower of pink and white. Mr. Glen Muir, Cedar Falls, nephew of the groom and Miss Lois Pierce, sister of the bride, were the attendants and as they took their places Mrs. Marea Christophel sang "Love's Sweet Song." After congratulations dinner was served by Mmes Robert and Fred Christophel, Bremer. Mrs. Hursh has taught school for a number of terms and will continue until the end of the present term, March 8. After March 15 Mr. and Mrs. Hursh will be at home on a farm near Newburg.
