This company was stationed at Bristol, Bucks Co., PA under the command of Colonel Hugh Tomb and likely saw action in the New Jersey Campaign.
Jacob was survived by his wife, Anna Elizabeth Speece Rufe. They had six sons: John, Jacob, Henry, Christian, George, Frederick; and one daughter, Sophia, who married George Fulmer of Bucks Co., PA.
