Major League Baseball Player. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a first baseman making his debut for the for the Cleveland Indians on June 5, 1943. For four seasons, he played for the Cleveland Indians (1943-46) and was noted for his lifetime high fielding percentage with a .994 average. He finished his career with a record of 444 hits, 219 runs scored, 30 homeruns, 186 runs batted in and a .258 batting average. He died at age 81 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
