Joseph Kubale, 68, Reedsville tavernkeeper for more than 40 years,
died Monday of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Reedsville
Funeral Home and at 9:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The Rev.
William Koutnik will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born in Rockland in 1882 and in 1927 married Miss Josephine Novak.
He established a tavern in the village in 1909. He was a member of the Holy
Name Society of the St. Mary congregation and Catholic Family.
Survivors are his wife; four sons, (private); three daughters, (private);
brother, John of Reedsville; three sisters, Mrs. John Radey of Taus, Mrs.
John Dittmer of Kewaunee and Mrs. Wenzel Barta of Reedsville; and three
grandchildren. A son, Lt. Edward Kubale, was killed in World War II in 1944.
Friends may call at the Reedsville Funeral Home where the rosary will be
recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
