Catherine B. Hauch, 88, formerly of Kiel, died Friday evening, July 2, 2010 at Willowpark Residence, New Holstein.
She was the former Catherine Gellings, born April 24, 1922 in the Town of Eaton, daughter of the late Alois and Anna (Broeckert) Gellings. Catherine attended St. Gregory Catholic Grade School.

On August 27, 1947 she married Alfred Hauch at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Catherine and Alfred farmed in the Town of Meeme until their retirement in 1977. Alfred preceded her in death on June 17, 2000.

She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, a former member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Osman, where she was active in the Christian Women and the Catholic Knights. She and Alfred enjoyed dancing and were members of several local dance groups. Catherine was a member of the County Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, sewing, crocheting, and playing cards, especially sheepshead.

Survivors include her one son, James (Kathy) Hauch of rural Kiel; one daughter, Mary (Wiley) Vivians of Milwaukee; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her close family, Joseph Broeckert, Eleanore Helf, Lorraine Schnell, Claire Collings and Marie Jelacic.

A Funeral Mass for Catherine will be celebrated at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS and Parish Director Joe Zenk officiating. Entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
