Age 74, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at his home. He was born March 3, 1936 in Elkhorn, KY, the youngest of twelve children of Basil and Maudie (Ramey) Slone.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. Delbert was a retired production worker for Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti plant, retiring after 37 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include: his wife, Rita Slone; two daughters, Robin Udell of Onsted, MI and Heather Breeze of Burlington, KY; and three grandchildren, Angie Lopez, Fred Udell II and Samantha Breeze. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 564 Bagley Avenue, Ypsilanti with Pastor Ross Mahan of Faith Baptist Church of Jackson, MI officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delbert Slone Memorial Fund at any Citizen's Bank location. Envelopes will be available at the memorial service.
