BONIFAS
Joseph Bonifas, 58, employee of the maintenance department of the State Highway commission, died of a heart attack at 4:30 AM yesterday at his home in Bryant. He was born in Jay County and had lived there all of his life. Mr. Bonifas was a member of the
holy Trinity Catholic Church of Jay County and the Catholic Knights of Ohio.
Surviving are a son, Louis J. Bonifas, and three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence V. Roth, Mrs. Thomas Mungovan and Miss Irene Bonifas of Fort Wayne; five brothers, John and August Bonifas of Portland, Ed Bonifas of Bryant, Philip Bonifas of Trinity and Frank
Bonifas of Fort Recovery, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. John Logenhorst of Coldwater, Ohio,
Mrs. Crist Knoth, Ohio, Mrs. Frank Hafner of Fort Recovery Ohio, and Mrs. Leo Burns of Gary. Six grandchildren also survived.
The body was taken to Mungovan & Sons Mortuary here and will be returned to the residence in Bryant this afternoon. Services will be held there Wednesday morning. Mr. Bonifas was widely known in Fort Wayne.
