Mr. Virgin was born at Monitor June 8, 1891, the son of John and Martha (Horner) Virgin. In February, 1914, he was married to Ruth A. Sheets, who survives. Prior to his retirement last July he had worked at the Aluminum Company of America factory at Lafayette.
Surviving in addition to the widow are a son, Hanford Jr., of Mulberry route 1; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Troxel of Mulberry; a brother, Glen, of Lafayette; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Kleinsmith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Reisen officiating. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.
