Mildred Nelson was born in Midvale 17 Oct 1898. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1918 and earned a degree from the University of Utah in 1923. She graduated from the University of Louisville, Kentucky medical school in 1925. She was an outstanding obstetrician and pediatrician, delivering over 5,000 babies, some of them multi-generational. She practiced medicine over 55 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and active in community affairs. She was an excellent cook. Dr. Nelson was loved, admired and respected. She died 27 Nov 1982.
