Earle Holder, 62, of 709 7th St., Green Rock, died Friday, Feb. 25, 1994, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairman Funeral Home, Green Rock. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens,East Moline.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to Colona Community Fire Department.
Mr. Holder was born Dec. 17, 1931, in Earle, Ark., the son of Earl D. and Laura D. Ishom Holder. He married Betty Sue Herrell Dec. 12, 1949,in Searcy, Ark.
He had been a maintenance man with Oscar Mayer, Davenport, for 31 years, retiring in 1984. He was also the owner-
operator of Holder's Garage, Green Rock.
He was a member of Meat Packers Union 431, a former Green Rock alderman, a former Green Rock defense director and a Green Rock police commissioner.
He enjoyed stock-car races, his dogs, western movies and guitar playing. He also held a black belt in karate.
Survivors include the widow; daughters, Tina Dutton, Wichita Falls, Texas, Terry Lampo, Hot Springs, Ark., and Yvonne Murphy, Buckville, Ark.; a son, David Holder, Green Rock; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Edna Menear, Russell, Ark., and Dean Heston, Annawan; and brothers, Tom Holder,
Green Rock, and Glen Holder, Kingsland, Texas
