Ella Mort Is Laid To Rest Saturday
FRIENDS PAY LAST RESPECTS TO MRS. MORT AT SATURDAY RITES

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mort were held at the Christian Church in Table Rock, Saturday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. B. F. Parnell in charge. Burial was made in the Table Rock cemetery.

Mrs. Mort a long time resident of Table Rock passed away at the
Gordon Home in Pawnee City on Wednesday, June 10.

Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bonham sang, accompanied by Mrs. C. W. Covault. Flower ladies were Mrs. John Deubelbeiss and Mrs. Lewis Day.

Pallbearers included Orin Gold, John Deubelbeiss, C. W. Covault, Alvah Aylor, Lewis Day and Lloyd Covault.

MRS. ELLA MARIE MORT

Ella Marie Mort was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, November 22, 1865 and passed away in Pawnee City, June 10, 1963, having attained the age of 87 years, 6 months and 18 days.

She was married to William D. Mort, November 19, 1885 and moved to Nebraska and Table Rock in 1886. To this union nine children were born, eight of whom survive her. Mrs. William Hayek, McCook, Nebr.; Mrs. Henry Brown, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. R. W. Tallman, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. F. L. Jones, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. John Covault, Table Rock; Mrs. Ralph Williamson, Englewood, Colo.; Floyd Mort, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Guy Mort, Humboldt, Nebr.; One child, Amelda died in infancy.

There are twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Two brothers, John and Norris Aylor of Table Rock, survive their sister.

Besides these there are many other relatives and friends who knew and loved her.

She was a member of the Table Rock Christian Church for many years. She was always pleased, when in her later years, her minister would read the Scriptures and offer a prayer for her. She had expressed many times her desire to be delivered from her suffering body and now she has her desire.
