Word has been received here of the death of Alfonso Sallee, of Onarga, Ill., at the Hospital in Gilman. He died February 3, 1931.

Alfonso Sallee was born in Adair County, Kentucky, December 26th, 1872. He was married to Miss Jane Leach near Columbia, Kentucky, November 10, 1893. To this union were born seven daughters: Mrs. Paul Soucy, of Irwin, Illinois; Mrs. Lyle H. Flint, of Blythe, California; Mrs. Scott Sutherland, of East Chicago; Mrs. Francis Jacobs, of Onarga, Illinois; Mrs. Floyd Richardson, of Rock Falls, Illinois; and Ina and Florence Sallee, both of Chicago.

All of the daughters, with their mother, survive to mourn their loss. Mr. Sallee was a member of the Utopia Lodge F. & A. M. of Chicago and of the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Onarga.

Mr. Sallee moved with his family from Adair County to Onarga Illinois in 1916.
