W.A. Osmond son of Geo. Osmond of this place, died at the St. Marks Hospital at Salt Lake City, Utah, last Tuesday morning of spinal meningitis. He leaves a young wife, the daughter of Mrs Charlotte Hale, a widow. "Archie" as he was familiarly known, was never very healthy, and had continued attacks of sickness in later years. He was of a lovable and kind disposition and highly beloved and esteemed by all. His father, mother and bereaved wife were at his bedside at the tome of his passing away and are grief stricken over the seeming cruel fate.
To the heart broken wife, father, nother, brothers and sisters, who sit in sorrow where his footsteps shall never again find an echo, we extend our deepest sympathy. When they have drained the cup, may the peace and blessing that passeth all understanding, come to them from One who cares for each little sparrow that falls.
Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Afton meeting house, which was crowded to the last seat. Consoling remarks were made by Heber F. Burton, Bp. Jas. Jensen, Jr. and Counselor W.A. Hyde. "Sometime We'll Understand", was beautifully rendered by Mark Hurd and Choir. After the impressive services a large concourse of vehicles followed the remains to their last resting place on the hillside, where they will remain until the morning of the first resurrection.
Mr and Mrs Fred Jacobson, Jas Jacobson, Mrs Nellie Hart and Mrs Dunford were visitors from Bloomington Idaho. All relatives of the deceased.
