Mrs. Herman Engelbrecht, 70, of the town of Two Creeks, died this morning at Two Rivers Municipal hospital following an illness of nine years. She had been a patient at the hospital since November, 1948.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the St. John Lutheran church, Two Rivers, with the Rev. Henry E. Pussehl officiating. Interment will be in Forest View cemetery there.
Mrs. Engelbrecht, the former Albertina Kempfert, was born in Maribel in 1870. She resided there until her marriage 49 years ago to Herman Engelbrecht after which she moved with her husband to his farm in Two Creeks. The husband died in 1947 and Mrs. Englebrecht continued to live on the farm with a son, Walter.
Surviving are five sons, Arthur of Grafton, Louis and Herbert of Two Rivers, Albert of Two Creeks and Walter on the home farm; one step daughter, Mrs. Emma Johnson of California; five brothers, William, Otto and Henry Kempfert, all of Maribel, August of Milwaukee and Albert of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Kionka of Wausau and Mrs. Ida Falck of Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Beduhn funeral home in Two Rivers from 7 o'clock this evening until 10 a.m. Wednesday when it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the time of services.
