Claude Howell, who lives west of Osgood passed away in a hospital at Spirit Lake Saturday [May 1, 1937]. Mr. Howell was suffering from high blood pressure and was a patient in the local hospital for several weeks during the latter part of February and the first of March. He is survived by his widow and one son. We have been unable to learn further particulars. (The Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, May 6, 1937)

Mrs. Steve Lloyd accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Lloyd to Milford, Ia., last Tuesday where she spent the time with her mother, Mrs. M. A.
