Turlocker Since 1907 Dies Here
Charles E. Martin, a native of Albion, Mich., and a resident of Turlock since 1907, died at his home on Lander Avenue here yesterday. Martin, 88 years old, succumbed after a short illness.
Martin left his native state for San Francisco in 1906, and a year later moved to Turlock, where he had lived since. He leaves a son, Frank Martin of Turlock; two daughters, Mrs. Ada Brier of Turlock, and Mrs. Edna Story of Hilmar, and seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church here.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of O'Hara-Drake Mortuary, 410 West Main Street here, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. A.A. Muench, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Services will be followed by interment in Turlock Cemetery.
